A Google reviews display brings your business rating and selected customer feedback into the venue. The Google Maps reviews counter explains the supported display content and update options. Use the steps below to plan an installation customers can read and understand.
Choose an existing screen or dedicated hardware
Try the Google reviews display through the DISPLIX app on compatible Android hardware or a screen with a modern browser. If you need a separate screen for reception or checkout, explore the DISPLIX hardware counter.
A rating needs less reading space than a review. Test both the stars and selected review text from where customers will stand or sit. Avoid a position where glare or small type makes the feedback difficult to read.
Select the correct business location
- Enter the address or place name in your DISPLIX dashboard.
- Click Add and select the correct Google Maps location.
- Check the business name and address, especially if you manage several branches.
- Check the rating and selected review text on the actual display.
Choosing the right location matters more than rushing through setup. A screen in one branch should not accidentally show another branch’s reputation.
Plan for the rating update interval
The Google rating updates once a day by default. Up to three updates a day are available for an additional payment. A newly posted review therefore does not imply an immediate change on the screen. See the Google reviews counter update options when deciding which frequency fits your business.
Make customer feedback easy to understand
Keep the business identity clear and leave enough room for the review text. Because the display uses selected reviews, avoid presenting that selection as every review your business has received.
Test the screen during normal opening hours and check its connection, brightness and sleep settings. Choose a location where feedback helps customers, such as reception, a waiting area or the checkout, and adjust the layout if visitors need to move closer to read it.
