A TikTok counter works best when customers can tell whose audience it shows and how to find that account. Start with the TikTok follower counter product page to check connection requirements and update frequency, then use this guide to prepare the screen for your venue.

Choose the screen and its position

If you already have compatible hardware, the DISPLIX counter app for Android and browsers lets you try the display on that device. If you need a separate unit, review the dedicated social media counter hardware.

Place the screen where customers naturally pause, such as a checkout or waiting area. Test the follower number and account name from their viewing position. Check glare, access to power and network connectivity before settling on a location.

Connect and check the account

  1. Open your DISPLIX dashboard and click Add.
  2. Continue to TikTok’s authorization page and allow access.
  3. Confirm that you connected the account you want customers to follow.
  4. Choose a readable design and check it on the actual screen.

The TikTok integration updates the follower count automatically every two minutes. Allow for that interval when checking a new follow; do not expect the screen to change immediately after every action. If the number stays unchanged, check the connection and selected account before repeating the setup.

Give customers a reason to follow

Pair the visible account name with a specific reason to visit your profile: product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes videos or updates from your venue. Ask staff to explain what visitors can expect from the account rather than relying on the number alone.

During your trial, check whether customers notice the display and can read it without help. Also test screen sleep settings and confirm that it stays connected during business hours. Return to the TikTok counter setup and subscription details when you are ready to choose your installation.
